At K1 Kouture, we specialize in creating custom Rodeo Queening clothing and Horse Show Clothing that enhances your presence in the arena. O u r S t o r y...

For me, sewing quality garments has been a family affair that has continued since my grandmother created hand-sewn dresses for me all throughout my childhood until she passed a few short years ago.

As a young child, I remember my Barbie dolls always having the prettiest new clothes none of my friends' dolls ever had, never realizing the sleepless hours my mother had spent to find a way to bring me happiness money could not provide. Later, it was her teaching me to sew, and helping me bring my crazy design ideas into reality for my own horse shows.

When I started showing more competitively, instead of hustling to order my own flashy rhinestone-studded jacket, I grabbed my colored pencils, sought out the finest fabrics and stones and just got creative!

And now helping my clients bring their own ideas to reality has definitely become one of my most rewarding talents.

Our Offerings

Custom Design

We work closely with you to understand your style, personality and performance requirements, crafting custom Rodeo Queening and Horse Show outfits that reflect your unique spark and elevate your presence in the arena.

To start we will need an accurate set of measurements, and once we discuss design ideas and get your piece sketched to your liking and an estimate presented, a 50% deposit is required to start cutting fabric and getting stones arranged.

Your finished product will be shipped once full payment has been completed. Completion times can take approximately 6-10 weeks depending on scheduling.

HORSE BLANKET WASHING & REPAIR

We wash and repair horse blankets, sheets, fleece coolers, fly sheets, even leg wraps and saddle pads. Waterproofing can also be done on request.

A $40 deposit is required to get on the pickup schedule, which also covers delivery once complete. Estimates can be done if requested, otherwise invoices will be emailed and payment in full is required prior to delivery unless otherwise pre-arranged.

Blankets are stored out of direct sunlight or exposure to the elements to minimize any sun or water damage. We also inventory and label each blanket as we unload the days' pickups so we get the right blankets back to the right barn. We also make sure to bring each blanket back in reuseable storage bags to help you keep them clean and mouse-free!

ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR SALE

We try to keep the "off the rack" clothing pieces to a minimum to keep inventory and pricing low, but occasionally I will get a spark of an idea and have to start stitching!

Frequently asked questions

A $40 deposit is required to secure your spot on our scheduled pick-up. This covers any driving we will be doing to get your blankets and to return them to you. If you have more than 15 blankets, this deposit will be applied to your invoice total.
You are welcome to bring your blankets to us and drop them off at our location, or to one of our designated drop-spots, or to any of the events we will be attending with no deposit required.

When we receive your blankets, we tag and inventory everything along with the receive date. We try to make quick notes as to which blankets need repairs and waterproofing (per request) so that we can properly schedule enough time to get them back on the next scheduled round (we can make special trips if needed, but will likely incur additional driving/rush charges).
We are taking better measures this year to stick to a 2-3 week turnaround on all the blankets we take in. **Blankets are washed and repaired in the order we receive them** On larger barns, it may mean we will be bringing blankets back in multiple trips (generally first return trip including all blankets not needing repairs, and those that do need repairs being returned on a second trip).
We have also taken great efforts to improve our blanket staging, to keep your blankets protected from the harmful elements, especially the damaging sun rays, while they are waiting to be washed, repaired or finally picked up or returned.

If you would like an estimate on the repair costs we are more than happy to provide an estimate before we begin any repairs. If you bring us blankets to repair and claim to have already washed them, we may still need to run them through a wash cycle before putting them through our sewing machines to keep dirt, sand, and any oils from getting into the gears and damaging the machines. If this is the case, we will most definitely let you know beforehand.
If you are planning to return your blankets under a warranty and just want the blanket washed, please be sure to tell us to make sure we do not make unwanted repairs. We do not typically message you to make sure a damaged blanket you brought us is supposed to be repaired.
